TUMBLR

Follow www.LobosinSA.tumblr.com for picture updates through phone during our South American adventures

Ciao Santiago

We love lobos

Sea lions (lobos).. fat, big and lazy.
We simply can't get enough of them!!

Holi Colour Festival

We went to the Holi colour festival the day after my birthday party, so we were all a little bit tired.. and it took us more than 5 hours from when we actually wanted to go, till we got to the festival area..
It was also the only rainy day since 2 months, but once we got there, we forgot all about the rain, the tiredness and just enjoyed our last day all together!

Summer in Chile

Sand dunes, Valparaiso, Surfing, Primavera Fauna and Cerro San Cristobal:
Sand dunes in Concon

One of the many hills in Valparaiso
Surfing again! I got Emil quit hooked on it as well hehe

My first and only music festival in Chile!
With mostly indie rock/pop bands and Djs from all around the world. Here I also "met" the only Norwegians I have seen in Chile so far: Kakkmaddafakka and Erlend Øye. They played at this festival and they were so good!! Think everyone really enjoyed the two choir/dancing boys.
Primavera Fauna Festival!

Festival area included 4 pools, a lot of places to sit and chill, food area and bars!

The Lumineers
Finally I went to Cerro San Cristobal.
Its a half an hour walk up this famous hill, and at the top you get this as your reward:
AMAZING VIEW OVER SANTIAGO!

Despedida/Farewell Party

On Saturday I moved into my new apartment with the help of Sally, Nina and Sarah.
We made lots of nachos and salad, and drank yummy pisco mango and pisco sour!

In the evening Chris came over, and we went to enjoy the sunset on the rooftop. We came a little bit too late, so we didn't actually see the sunset, but it was still amazing to see how the lights in the city came alive, and the Andes mountain slowly disappearing in the background.

It was way too early to have a goodbye party, but it would also have been impossible to find a later day where everyone could come. So in that way it was a perfect choice, having it before everyone starts to travel!

The party was also on another rooftop, which is really amazing right now when the weather is so great. No jacket, gloves or scarfs needed. (Which I have been relying on since June..)

After one hour at the party I left to go pick Emil up from the airport. And I was sooo happy to see my musse!!

Champagne in my new building before we went to the farewell party!

The farewell ceremony at U. Mayor lasted 3 hours, and it was filled with speeches, a long video about the things we have done here together with the university (and yes I was also talking in Spanish!), photo contest (I got 2nd place in one of the categories!), 2 girls singing " Gracias a la vida" and lot's of photos being taken.
And they really wanted Emil on the pictures even though I told them he is not a student at U Mayor... But then again, who can resist taking photo of this handsome man!

Roommates

Tonight is my last night in this casa, because Emil is coming tomorrow and we are renting an apartment together!
So this is a post dedicated to my beautiful roomies in Casa 1060.
It has been so much fun living with all of you, and I can't wait to visit everyone back in Europe.
